How am I billed?
What Are the Initial Costs?
When your order ships, you will be billed for your SIM card, delivery and any
options that you have selected. All fees are in US dollars. Taxes may be
applicable to Canadian residents.
How Is Airtime Billed?
Unlike prepaid SIM cards, Brightroam does not force you to pre-pay for airtime.
Brightroam will bill you for your airtime the following month with a detailed
account statement showing all of your calls. There is no need to purchase
airtime in advance and you never have to worry about recharging your airtime.
However, you can optionally purchase
airtime credits to save a little more. All fees are in US dollars.
How Is This Airtime Charged?
Any outstanding balance will be billed directly to your pre-approved credit card
around the 12th of each month. Major credit cards accepted include VISA, Master
Card, American Express and Diners Club. Taxes may be applicable to Canadian
residents.
How Is Wireless Data Charged?
Your data usage is billed by the kilobytes of data that you transfer, as
opposed to the length of a voice call. To estimate the amount of data you will
use, you can view our data
usage estimation table.
When Will I Receive My Account Statement?
Brightroam produces your monthly account statement around the 7th of each month.
Once the new account statement is posted you will receive an email notification
with login information for you to view your usage details.
The first account statement may or may not reflect all usage. Due to varying
service level agreements with different wireless carriers, some call charges
may take up to 60 days to be billed and will appear on subsequent account
statements.
Is There a Cancellation Fee?
Customers may cancel their order provided they do so within 7 days of purchase
and have not used the service. Customers who cancel their order will receive a
credit less shipping fees and a $15 restocking fee.
These refunds will be issued after Brightroam confirms there has been no usage
on your account. This review will take several weeks as we wait up to 30 days
for usage details from our carrier partners.
Customers who have used the service, or do not cancel within 7 days of purchase,
will not be able to cancel their order.
